INGREDIENTS
500g young white cabbage (sliced finely)
3 cups water or more
400g tin of chopped tomatoes
salt
ground black pepper
1 onion (sliced)
25g unsalted butter
METHOD
Place all ingredients except butter, salt and pepper in pot and cook for about 1 hour, adding more water if needed. At the end stir in butter and season with salt and pepper.
Taste good as a side dish or itself with slice of fresh buttered bread.
