INGREDIENTS
- 3 large carrots – about 500g (grated)
- 3 small apples – about 300g (grated) – optional, can be replaced with more carrots
- juice from ½ large lemon
- 1½ tbs golden caster sugar or to taste
METHOD
- Grate carrots, then apples and quickly add lemon juice for apples not to get brown.
- Add sugar and mix everything together.
Serves 4 people as a side dish.
NOTES
This is salad that my mother used to make when I was a child.
