First of all I want to wish all my readers Happy New Year filled with lots of excitements and delicious dishes!
Year 2007 was my first year of blogging, as I started this blog in March this year. I learned soo many new things during this year, both about blogging and cooking. I met also wonderful fellow bloggers from which few become my online friends :)
In 2007 my picture “Blueberry Muffin” took second place in EDIBILITY category in September edition of DMBLGiT which was a very nice surprise to me. You can see it along with many more photos I took this year at Flickr or in my Photo Gallery.
Thank you for all your comments, emails and support you are giving me.
This year I started as well monthly food blogging event: Inspiring Food Photography which let me discover blogs with great food photographs. They are inspiring me every day to take my own photos. Thank you for all your votes. I’m planning to continue this event and I will be posting new nominations shortly. I will announce winner of December IFP tomorrow.
I’m looking forward new challenges that new year is going to bring.
I’m planning to continue with my new healthier life style, that I stared a while ago.
I want to find out how to cook some new dishes I have never tried. Besides I want to try new fruits and vegetables I have never tasted before.
I won’t be writing down all the list here now… but let me mention few: Tiramisu, Rum Cake, Spring Rolls, Falafel, Panettone, something with Artichoke, Rhubarb and Sharon Fruit… the last two I have tasted itself but never used in any recipes.
From general things, I want to improve my graphic skills and start school next autumn.
I have one very personal wish for the new year too but I want to keep it secret… for now ;)
Here are 12 dishes I prepared this year that I’m the most proud of:
Green Pea Soup with Parmesan and Balsamic Vinegar
Heart Shape & Christmas Tree Chocolate Cookies (Chocolate Cutout Cookies)
“Szarlotka” – Polish Apple Pie
Perfect Chicken Curry with Coconut Milk
Grandma Nina Pischinger (Polish wafer dessert)
“Bigos” (Polish Sour Cabbage Cooked with Prunes, Apples and Wild Mushrooms)
See you in New Year 2008!! :D
Margot
And you should be proud of all those wonderful dishes. I hope to see many more delicious posts and virtual smells coming from your kitchen in 2008!!! Have a wonderful and safe New Year!!
