Just thought I will share with you my latest discovery – pretty and healthy baby garlic chive (Allium tuberosum). Although it looks similar to mustard cress it does have completely different flavour – chive like with intense smells of garlic and gorgeous black bits (seed husks) on the top making it great garnish for anything from sandwiches, pizzas, fish to egg dishes or even soups. Taste really good on sourdough rye crisp bread with cream cheese and smoked salmon.
Can be found in health stores but also good supermarkets just next to other baby greens.
