Vegeta (vegetable seasoning) Vegeta is mixture or vegetables, spices and salt. It is quite similar in taste to Adobo seasoning or Knorr Aromat, can be also replaced with regular vegetable stock granules. It is produced by Podravka, a company from Coratia. Vegeta is sold worldwide, often in Polish shops as it is widely used in Poland.
Vege-Gel (Vegetarian substitute for gelatine) My latest discovery: Vege-Gel. It works the same good like traditional gelatine, actually is getting firm even faster. I used it for instance in “Almond Panna Cotta with Cherries in Orange Syrup“, “Fruity Cheese Cake” or “Jelly Deluxe”.
Sour Cabbage / Sauerkraut Salad INGREDIENTS 900g (600g drained) jar sour cabbage / fermented cabbage / sauerkraut (drained, but not completely and chopped) 2 carrots (grated) 2 apples – optional 2 tbs white sugar or to taste METHOD Mix everything together.
