Xmas tree is back in the yard (until next year), decorations in the boxes, chocolate reindeer and cookie houses crushed, confetti swept away… time to start 2010 and put New Year’s resolutions into practice.
And what they are? In my case:
- spend more time with kids (go out more on weekends),
- eat less, exercise more (I want to quit the gym and get my own cross trainer),
- drink more water and teas with no sugar or milk (Lady Grey is recently my favourite),
- cook more Dominican, Polish and international classics (unfulfilled last year resolution) and post about it,
- make time to take proper food photos (recently I’ve been taking snapshots due to lack of time),
- deal with clutter in my files on external hard drives and papers around my desk ,
- keep more in touch with friends (I’m sooo bad returning emails and calls),
- see more people not only via internet (even 2 a month would be success),
- visit our parents (those in Poland and those in Dominica),
- treat husband better (I have already started with breakfast in bed yesterday),
- relax more… (find time for myself).
And yours??? :)
Happy New Year!
Happy New Year and good luck with all of your resolutions! They are good ones.
Dearest Margot, many rich blessings to you and the family in the New Year and onwards!
Margot, Happy New year to you and your family!…good luck with the resolutions
Margot Happy New Year to you!! I could use some of those resolutions:-) Good Luck!
Wszystkiego najlepszego dla Ciebie i Twojej rodziny!
Trzymam kciuki aby udało Ci się wypełnić wszystkie zobowiązania :)
Dearest Margot, first of all best wishes to you and yours this New Year.
I also want to spend more time with kids, eat less and walk more, and drink more water plus avoid sugar in tea…already do well without the milk!
Now a super tip I learnt at the FBConnect from Meeta (What’s for Lunch, Honey?) is to keep away little portions when you’re done cooking, especially if you don’t have time to photograph straight away and then at your leisure, take the photos, styled and all. I’ve been doing that and it is working well…ish. However, you must label the photos DO NOT TOUCH :-)….
I hope to spend more time with me and be better organised so I have even more spare time. To this end, I’ve spent this last couple of hours reaaranging my refigerator…so I cn throw out all the green stuff and make way for new….
I should stop here. Best wishes again….Oz
Stopped by to pass on my best wishes for 2010 to you and your family. Here’s to good health and prosperity.
happy cooking
chris..
Those are all really nice goals. I think they are all really attainable :) Best of luck, and looking forward to your classic dishes!
I like your 2010 resolution “eat less, exercise more” :)
Happy New Year!
Happy new year!
I’m not making new year’s resolutions, but I am starting a new job on Monday, so I’ve made “new job resolutions” instead. Things I want to be better at in this job than in my last one, stuff like that.
happy new year!
Wow, your tree is down already. I’m looking at an 8 foot monster and thinking when will I find the time. Anyway tradition here is not to take it down before the Feast of the Epiphany Jan 6th – very Catholic household. NO resolutions for me this year.
Margot Wishes for a Happy 2010 & for the resolution.
Happy New Years and what great resolutions! I am with you, decorations are put away and I am looking at finishing thank you cards =).
Hey Margot, wish you a fabulous New Year :)
For starters this 2010, i need to loose my pregnancy weight …. its been killing me to look at myslef in the mirror, haha and here’s the funny part, loose all that wieght and get pregnant again and have another baby , so they both grow up together. So that’s pretty much the plan for this year :p
Happy new year! That’s a good list of resolutions, I hope you acheive them all!
I haven’t really made any resolutions for this year although I’m really bad at returning emails too, maybe that should be mine!
