Black onion seeds are seeds of nigella flower. They are very small, tear shape, matt black with rough surface.
They have been used since Roman times in cooking and baking. They are nutty, earthy in taste. Many Indian dishes contain those seeds, for instance gram masalas and korma. You can find them sprinkled on naad breads as well.

Well, I don’t know really how to replace them but they selling them in many Indian shops and markets.
is this right that from this black seed only onion grows
