INGREDIENTS
800-900g young white cabbage (2 small cabbages)
1 tbs salt
2 tbs white sugar
water or water plus milk
breadcrumbs
125g unsalted butter
½ cup breadcrumbs
2 tsp white sugar
2 pinches of salt
METHOD
Cut cabbages in 4 and place in boiling salted and sugared water or water with milk. Cook covered till soft, drain.
In meantime prepare breadcrumbs: in a small saucepan place breadcrumbs, sugar, salt and butter, heat on low fire till butter is bubbling, pour over cabbage.
Serves 6-8 people as a side dish.
