INGREDIENTS
750g frozen broccoli florets (separated into small parts)
500g couscous
1 red and 1 yellow sweet bell peppers (cubed)
4 tbs Carotino or olive oil
Adobo seasoning to taste
1 tbs paprika powder
3 tbs grated Parmesan cheese or more
hot water
METHOD
In a wok or large frying pan stir fry on medium fire broccoli with 2 tbs of oil.
When there is almost no more water add peppers and fry for 1 minute longer.
Then stir in couscous and paprika powder, gradually add also water and Adobo seasoning to taste.
Continue stirring and adding water till couscous is ready.
Remove from fire and stir in Parmesan cheese.
Serve 6 people as a side dish.

I wanted to try this, just grabbed some cous-cous in a bio-markt and have never made it, but it seems there is a missing step? How much water and how is it used?

I love cous cous and I’ve been eating a lot of broccoli and parmesan lately. Great combination!

G – Just add hot water gradually to the pan, you should stop when the couscous is soft and starting to stick together. You can also place it in separate bowl, pour over hot water (according to the instructions on the packet) and leave aside covered till ready. Then add it to the vegetables.
Have you tried this with Israeli couscous yet?
