Cutting out circles out of parchment paper may be time consuming and annoying to be honest, especially if you need to make 3-4 of them for the layered cake.
This is the lazy way, all you have to do is to place the parchment paper between the base of the baking tin and the rim and close it.
Then turn it around, cut of the excess paper and voilà, it is ready to use… no drawing or cutting out precise circles required (!)
Of course Margot. Thanks for the tip!
Hang on a minute. Is there another way to do it?!? I’ve been doing this method for a long time but then again I’m an amateur baker!
Michelle, you will laugh but for years I was hiring kids to draw and cut out baking paper circles for me before I discover this method :)
